LAND REGISTRY

"The Real Estate Registry allows the knowledge of properties by reference to their administrative and geographic location, geometric configuration and area.

The property registry has the regime defined by the Property Registry Regulation (RCP) approved by Decree-Law No. 172/95 of August 23, which is in force throughout the mainland with the exception of the municipalities identified in Ordinance No. 976/2009 of September 1.

The Geometric Registry of Rural Property (CGCP) allowed the knowledge of the location of rustic buildings, their geometric configuration, boundaries and area, for essentially fiscal purposes.

With the entry into force, on November 21, of the new Legal Regime of the Property Registry, approved by Decree-Law No. 72/2003 of August 23, rustic buildings located in municipalities under the geometric property registry regime are converted into property registry rustic, already identified in the Cadastral Map and can be consularized in: https://snic.dgterritorio.gov.pt/visualizadorCadastro."
